About Me

We can't risk leaving anyone behind. An ambitious and experienced US-based Jordanian EN-AR translator, I am keen on studying the intersection of language and the Law, and on ensuring that everybody enjoys meaningful and reasonable access to services and content in a language they best speak and understand. I want to devote my career to identifying cost-effective, win-win solutions that can help eechance access to services for all but especially Arabic-speaking limited English proficient (LEP) persons.

Education

I am a current 4.0-GPA master's in Translation student at Kent State Univeristy in Kent, Ohio. In 2020, I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Jordan with a BA [H] in English Language and Its Literature. In 2016, I received an academic excellence award from his Majesty, King Abdullah II of Jordan, and her Majesty, Queen Rania of Jordan.

Professional Experience

I have worked as a Graduate Research Assitant at Kent State Univeristy in Kent, Ohio, US (2023). Prior to that, I worked as an EN-AR in-house translator at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC-ME, 2022), and as a freelance translator (2021). I also worked as an intellectual property assistant officer at Abu Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP-Amman, 2020).
